Upcoming BTO launches in Yishun
The last time Yishun saw a crop of BTO flats was in 2018. Application rates were low, and the first-time applicants who balloted for 3-room and larger flats all got a flat! It definitely takes out the stress in home-buying when you’re buying in an area that isn’t too over-subscribed.
Doesn’t look like there’s any BTO planned for Yishun in 2020 so far, but we’ll keep this space updated.

Amenities
Northpoint City… Where do we start? Let’s just say Northpoint City is really a city. It used to be quite a dull affair, but after a huuuge revamp, it now houses more than over 500 retail and dining outlets. It even features a town plaza the size of 10 basketball courts so that it can serve the community better.

Why I live here
“The East and West siders may fight for which side is the #BestSide, but they can kiss my back side! Yishun is the CONFIRM the best side in Singapore.”
While we’re not sure how seriously we can take long-time Yishun resident Roxane Heng’s words, we have to admit that the food in Yishun is worth the travel even if you don’t live in this town.
There’s Old World Bak Kut Teh that can rival Song Fa’s at an unassuming Hiap Hoe Eating House; and if you’d prefer a lighter lunch, Roxane swears by the yong tau foo at Ah Lock Tofu.
If you want a post-dinner snack, consider Holy Cow Creamery. Open till 10pm, this parlour gives the big boys in ice-cream a run for their money! Their mao shan wang durian ice cream is a must, and make sure to have it on top of their homemade Golden Waffle.

Feeling guilty after all that good food? Do what Roxane does – get on a bicycle and ride the Northern Explorer Loop to burn off all that calories. The start point is at Yishun Park Connector, which is about 1.4km away from Northpoint City.
