Some fun facts…
- Clearly, the prices of HDB flats in various districts differ vastly. You’ll have the most luck finding affordable HDB flats in Sembawang, where the median price for a 4-room HDB resale flat is about S$334k. The median price of a similarly-sized flat in Queenstown is about S$678k – twice the price of the former!
- 2-bedroom resale HDB flats in Serangoon are generally cheaper than in Sengkang (S$309k vs S$332k), whereas 4-bedrooms are more expensive (S$457k vs $444k). Look carefully and you’ll spot similar patterns in many districts!
- Being just one station away on the MRT line can make a whole lot of difference. Take a look at Bishan and Ang Mo Kio, for instance – prices of HDB resale flats in the former neighborhood tend to be S$60k-80k steeper than the latter.
